Name: Elan Age: 63 Sex: Male Profession: Educator Location: Historian Tribe Affiliations: Historian Tribe Disposition: Friendly, Intelligent, Mindful
Character Background and Description
Elan is of Native American decent. He has long gray hair and green eyes. He is very approachable and can be soft-spoken.
He was born shortly after World War III ended, as part of the first generation born after the war (as people were realizing how badly the fertility rate had dropped).
As a child, he lived as a nomad with his mother. They traveled around Wisconsin, and eventually made their way back to Green Bay, which was where his mother had lived before the war. For months, he and his mother traveled around Green Bay, looking for the perfect place to settle down. It wasn't until they found a group of people, who would later form the Historian Tribe, that they finally made a home for themselves.
Now, Elan still lives in the Historian Tribe, and there, he is one of the educators. He spends the majority of his day instructing anyone who is interested in learning. There is no formal schooling system in Gator Bay, but Elan is actively working to change that. In his spare time, Elan works on a record that he keeps about Gator Bay. He hopes that when he's too old to continue writing, someone else will take over and continue to record their history.
Elan lives with his wife, Jo. They have no children, because they're both infertile, but Elan doesn't mind.
His personal possessions consist of his collection of fiction and non-fiction books, which he uses for his lessons, and a necklace that his mother gave to him when he was a young boy.
